The Tri-Village Rod and Gun Club is proud to offer lessons in casual target shooting. Target shooting is a pleasant way to spend a Saturday afternoon. It’s a fun sport the whole family can enjoy.

As much fun as target shooting is, getting started can be both frustrating and intimidating, especially if you don’t have a friend or family member you can turn to for advice.

If you’ve never fired a gun and are curious about them; Jeff Tishman, of the Tri-Village Rod and Gun Club, has the answers. This is your chance to learn in a safe, and friendly atmosphere.

Topics: Brief history and development of firearms, rifle and ammunition nomenclature, NRA basic safety rules, dynamics of how a rifle works and the fundamentals of rifle shooting.

Course includes practice time on the rifle range.

Instructor: Jeff Tishman is a certified National Rifle Association (NRA) rifle and pistol instructor. He has been involved with firearms for 45 years.
